Amphitheater Program

Stop by our scenic outdoor amphitheater for a fun and engaging morning program to get your Dogwood Canyon journey started! Topics rotate through a variety of outdoor skills and nature identification themes to equip yourself for your next canyon experience! This activity is complimentary with valid park admission.

Stone-age Survival Skills

See demonstrations of flint knapping, friction fire, cordage and other tools, weapons and clothing employed by our prehistoric ancestors. These live demonstrations are complimentary.

Foraging in the Ozarks

Join us for a mosey around the canyon to learn about wildflowers, edible and medicinal plants, and a bit about local archaeology. Bring binoculars if you have them, as there’s always a possibility to see beautiful songbirds and other Ozarks wildlife!

StoryWalk® Hike:

Storywalk® is a fun, educational activity that places a children’s story (a deconstructed book, page by page) along Hickory Ridge Trail.

Discovery Stations

Our stations provide a casual, yet engaging educational opportunity for families and children to learn about nature through hands-on crafts, activities and tabletop displays. This activity is complimentary. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Nature & Conservation Program

Join us in the Nature & Conservation Center classroom for a short hands-on nature program and create your own nature craft to take home!

Father's Day Creation Station
