Horseback Riding

Horseback Riding at Dogwood Canyon

No matter what your skill level, our horseback riding experiences allow you to explore the Ozarks through the eyes of early settlers, discovering areas of the park not seen by the tram or from walking and biking trails. You can enjoy our one-hour ride or our 2.5-hour lunch ride.

Before setting out, you can visit the new Little Indian Stables with 24 stalls and meet the horses.

One-Hour Ride

Explore the Park on Horseback

No matter what your experience level is, our one-hour ride is the perfect adventure for you! You’ll tag along on horseback as experienced wranglers guide you on a leisurely ride, exploring ridges, hollows, old logging roads and other scenic views. All participants must: Be at least 8 years old and 48” tall, weigh no more than 250 lbs (you will be weighed prior to riding), and be able to ride on their own (one rider per horse).

Little Indian Lunch Ride

A More Advanced Experience

For the more experienced horseback rider, we offer our lunch ride. This adventure lasts around 2.5 hours and includes a break for lunch. All participants must: Be at least 12 years old and 48” tall, weigh no more than 250 lbs (you will be weighed prior to riding), and be able to ride on their own (one rider per horse).
