Trackin’ & Trappin’

raccoons track

July 14 at 8:00 am - July 17 at 5:00 pm

Grades 6th-8th

Ever notice a path in the woods that was too small to be made by humans? The forest is an intersecting highway for many animals we rarely see. Bobcats, snakes, deer, and raccoons are clever creatures that navigate the park virtually unseen. Join us this summer as we use various tools and tricks to reveal the identity of our forest friends. Learn about a variety of trapping methods such as furbearer and pit-fall trapping. We will also practice the skill of tracking animals and their sign using game cameras, track traps, scat ID, and more in this fun forest Edventure!

** This camp is located at Dogwood Canyon in Lampe, Missouri. Students will be shuttled to and from Wonders of Wildlife each day for pickup and drop off. For drop-off/pick-up accommodations, please reach out to edu@wondersofwildlife.org upon registration.
