Join wilderness survival instructor and naturalist Bo Brown at Dogwood Canyon Nature Park for a mosey around the canyon to learn about wildflowers, edible and medicinal plants, and a bit about local archaeology. Bring binoculars if you have them, as there’s always a possibility to see beautiful songbirds and other Ozarks wildlife!

Stop by our Nature Center classroom for a fun and engaging program to get your Dogwood adventure started! Topics rotate through a variety of nature identification themes to equip you for your canyon experience!  This 20-30 minute program is included with park admission.

Come check out our Discovery Stations at the Dogwood Nature and Conservation Center! Our stations provide a casual yet engaging education opportunity for families and children to learn about nature through hands-on crafts, activities, and tabletop displays.

Stop by our Critter Encounters for an up-close meet and greet with a live animal as you learn a little about their biology and behavior. Possible critters include: snakes, salamanders, turtles, arachnids, and hissing cockroaches. Encounters are open, walk-up experiences and are included with park admission.

Be sure to stop by our mobile trailside station while you’re out in the canyon! This station will feature a rotation of wildlife artifacts, information about plants and animals in the park, and the potential of up-close discoveries and wildlife spotting.
