Seasonal at Dogwood Canyon
Dogwood Canyon is beautiful every season of the year. Check out some of the special offerings and events we have this winter that help you enjoy the beauty of Dogwood Canyon!
All guests are strongly encouraged to book tours in advance as many sell out early due to increased traffic during the winter season.
4th of July Buffet
Celebrate the Fourth of July with a feast at Dogwood Canyon’s Mill & Canyon Grill. Guests can enjoy a selection of classic American favorites while taking in sweeping views of the Ozarks.
Adult: $44.00 | Children 3-12: $22.00
Walk-up service only. Children 2 and under are free.
Last seating is at 4 p.m. General admission or membership is required for dining.
The regular Mill & Canyon Grill menu will be limited on July 4.
Little Indian Lunch Ride
For the more experienced horseback rider, we offer our lunch ride. This adventure lasts around 2.5 hours and includes a break for lunch. All participants must: Be at least 12 years old and 48” tall, weigh no more than 250 lbs (you will be weighed prior to riding), and be able to ride on their own (one rider per horse).
Reservations are recommended. Park admission is a separate and required ticket.
Creek Crawl Adventure
We ALL live downstream! Meet your aquatic neighbors on this immersive underwater adventure! Come crawl the creek with us as we explore an Ozark’s stream using underwater viewers and snorkels to observe diverse wildlife and aquatic habitats. Learn about watersheds and what you can do to ensure we have healthy streams for years to come. This activity will include wading in up to 2 feet of water and walking on uneven, sometimes slippery surfaces. Snorkels and masks will be made available as optional equipment for those interested but are not required to participate.
Restrictions: Ages 8+ only. Children under 18 need accompanied by an adult
Amenities to Guests: Snorkel, mask, underwater viewing tools, and life vests are provided by request.
Guests must provide their own towels and drinking water.

Private Creek and Canyon Tours

Immerse yourself in the stunning beauty of the Ozarks with our one-of-a-kind Creek & Canyon Tour. Allow our skilled guides to take you on a journey to discover the best fishing spots along the peaceful waters of Dogwood Creek. Then, buckle up for a thrilling off-road escapade as we navigate the challenging terrain of Little Indian Canyon.
This is a 3.5 to 4-hour excursion in an open-air vehicle that can hold 2 people. Dogs are NOT allowed.
All fishing gear will be provided. Although it is not required, guests should have prior fly-fishing experience to use fly rods; however, spinning rods will be provided to those who do not.
Park admission is a separate and required ticket.
Dinner Tram Tour
The Dogwood Dinner Tram is the perfect way to end your day! Hop aboard a tram and ride through towering bluffs and cascading waterfalls with majestic views. Then, join us for a BBQ buffet! Feast on your favorite home-cooked staples at our streamside Chuckwagon site while live music plays. Enjoy an evening surrounded by rustic beauty, family, and friends. Make sure to bring your appetite and get ready for an experience unlike any other — only at Dogwood Canyon!
Dinner menu will vary but be country bbq themed.

Foraging In The Ozarks
Join wilderness survival instructor and naturalist Bo Brown, author of Foraging the Ozarks and Foraging Central Grasslands, at Dogwood Canyon Nature Park for a mosey around the canyon to learn about wildflowers, edible and medicinal plants, and a bit about local archaeology. Bring binoculars if you have them, as there’s always a possibility to see beautiful songbirds and other Ozarks wildlife!
This walk is a slow mosey within 0.2-miles of the Nature Center.
Stone-Age Survival Skills
There is a direct line of human technology, from 2.3 million years ago when our earliest ancestors banged rocks to make cutting tools, to the rapid advances in our modern world. Join survival instructor and naturalist Bo Brown, author of Foraging the Ozarks and Foraging Central Grasslands, to explore the humble beginnings of the technologies that allowed our species to survive and thrive.
