raccoons track

June 12 at 8:00 am - June 15 at 5:00 pm

Grades 3rd-5th

Ever notice a path in the woods that was too small to be made by people? The forest is an intersecting highway for mammals we almost never see. Bears, bobcats, foxes, and raccoons are just some of the clever creatures that navigate the park unseen.  Join us this summer as we use a variety of tools and tricks to reveal the identity of our forest friends.  Learn how to mount and monitor a wild game camera, create a track trap, and identify game trails as we track down the mammals of Dogwood Canyon!  We’ll dive into the biology and adaptations of the Ozark’s most charismatic critters in this forest EdVenture!

*All Dogwood summer camp experiences include:  a private guided tour of the park to see the Bison and Elk, up-close live animal encounters in the nature conservation center, and special access to park habitats based on individual camp topics.
