Grades 6th-8th

Discover the amazing diversity of birds that call Dogwood Canyon home.  Investigate bird behavior, adaptations, and identification as we explore the park in search of our feathered friends.  Throughout the camp we’ll embark on excursions by foot, shuttle, and even kayaks, immersing ourselves in the birds’ habitat.  Students will even get to contribute to bird conservation by building nesting boxes for use right here in Dogwood Canyon.  Broaden your birding knowledge and gain valuable field experience towards a career in conservation in this engaging summer EdVenture!

*All Dogwood summer camp experiences include:  a private guided tour of the park to see the Bison and Elk, up-close live animal encounters in the nature conservation center, and special access to park habitats based on individual camp topics.
