Critter Encounter

Stop by our Critter Encounters for an up close meet and greet with a live animal as you learn a little about their biology and behavior. Possible critters include: snake, salamander, turtle, spiders, and hissing cockroaches. (Specific animals may include opportunities to touch). Encounters are open, walk-up experiences and are included with park admission.

Foraging in the Ozarks

Join wilderness survival instructor and naturalist Bo Brown at Dogwood Canyon Nature Park for a mosey around the canyon to learn about wildflowers, edible and medicinal plants, and a bit about local archaeology. Bring binoculars if you have them, as there’s always a possibility to see beautiful songbirds and other Ozarks wildlife!
